The Summerlee Science Complex is a state of the art classroom and research complex, built with the assistance of the Province of Ontario’s Super Build program, primarily for student learning and scientific research.
Waasamowin (formerly the Atrium) in the Summerlee Science Complex is one of the favourite gathering space for students, faculty and staff. Waasamowin can accommodate a gathering of 200 students to study in a moderately large group environment. Waasamowin can also accommodate a sit down dinner or a reception for 180 to 500 people.

This space has 200 seats for students to study in a moderately loud group study environment. There are outlets on the floor throughout the space as well as on the walls. There is a Second Cup coffee shop, as well as vending machines.
