OVC to Be Featured on Rick Mercer Report

Comedian and political satirist Rick Mercer will take viewers behind the scenes of the Ontario Veterinary College (OVC) in the next installment of the Rick Mercer Report, set to air on CBC Tuesday, March 28, at 8 p.m. The segment will also feature festivities at College Royal.

Mercer was in Guelph March 19 for College Royal and visited OVC and the Ponsonby research station March 20, where he learned to examine a pregnant dairy cow and how to “tip” a sheep. He also toured OVC, interacted with faculty and students, and interviewed dean Elizabeth Stone.

The Rick Mercer Report, a half-hour comedy show, has a format that is similar to Mercer’s prior series, This Hour Has 22 Minutes.
