Published by Communications and Public Affairs (519) 824-4120, Ext. 56982 or 53338 Campus BulletinJuly 02, 2002 University announces staff changesThe University has announced staffing changes in Alumni Affairs and Development and the Office of Institutional Analysis and Planning. In Alumni Affairs and Development, Rudy Putns is leaving to become CEO of the Leukemia Research Fund of Canada. In addition, the University’s external campaign consultants, Ketchum Canada Inc. — who helped launch U of G’s $75-million fundraising campaign in May — have completed their initial contract with the University and will be moving to a consulting basis as needed. Combining these recent changes with the post-campaign plan to increase donation levels, Alumni Affairs and Development will begin searching for an assistant vice-president (development) beginning in late July. This person will be second-in-command in Alumni Affairs and Development, with division-wide responsibilities. The University will be searching for a new director of the Office of Institutional Analysis and Planning as a result of President Mordechai Rozanski extending Prof. Ken Grant’s secondment from the Department of Economics. Grant will serve as an assistant to the president for another year, focusing on double cohort planning activities, the development and implementation of performance indicators, and various human resources issues. With this reassignment of duties, Grant will resign as director of the Office of Institutional Analysis and Planning effective Sept. 1, 2002. A committee chaired by Nancy Sullivan, vice-president (finance and administration), will commence an immediate search to fill the director’s position. |
