U of G union celebrates 30th anniversary
The union representing administrative and technical staff at the University of Guelph marked its 30th anniversary today with a celebration in Rozanski Hall.
U of G’s administrative and technical staff who belonged to the University of Guelph Staff Association from 1974 to 2001 became members of the United Steelworkers Local 4120 in 2001. Today they were also celebrating three years as members of the Steelworkers Union.
Today’s celebration included a talk by the international president of the United Steelworkers, Leo Gerard. A few of the founding members of the Staff Association were also in attendance.
