OVC Prof featured on As It Happens
Research by Dr. Suzanne Millman was the focus of a Canadian Press news article that appeared in numerous newspapers across the country this weekend. In addition, she was featured Monday on the CBC Radio program As It Happens.
The interview highlighted Millman’s studies on the changing courting habits of certain lines of roosters and the potential effect on the poultry industry.
Already, the Canadian Press article on her research appeared in the Globe and Mail, Vancouver Sun , National Post and Ottawa Citizen.
Millman, a Population Medicine professor, is a member of U of G’s Animal Behaviour and Welfare Research Group. She studies fundamental questions about how injury and illness affect behavioural needs and social dynamics of domesticated animals, and how to assess and improve the welfare of livestock and horses.
