Global Vets and Veterinarians Without Borders appear on TV
The work of OVC faculty and students in developing countries is in the media spotlight this week.
On Tuesday, Dr. David Waltner-Toews, a professor in the Department of Population Medicine and founding president of Veterinarians Without Borders Canada, appeared on the CITY-TV program, Animal House Calls, on CP24.
Joining him was Global Vets student Lara Zahra.
The program will be repeated Friday at 11:35 p.m. and 1:05 a.m.
The Global Vets club was also featured this week on CTV Southwestern Ontario.
Three OVC students from the club were guests Sunday on the current affairs program, Provincewide.
Kristen Brown, Michelle Oblak, and Janet Sunstrum talked about their experiences promoting animal health and welfare, environmental health and public health in Peru, Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, Zimbabwe and South Africa.
