Graduate Student Research Day winners
The spotlight shone on some rising stars in research at the recent OVC Graduate Student Research Day.
Once again the event was a big success and the graduate student presentations and posters were of excellent quality, said Dr. Brenda Coomber, assistant dean (acting) of research and graduate affairs.
“The day was well attended and we look forward to having similar success next year,” said Coomber, who thanked all participants on behalf of the organizing committee.
This year's winners were:
1st prize MSc Poster - Philip Wood, Biomedical Sciences
1st prize PhD Poster - Hakimeh Mohammadi, Pathobiology
1st prize MSc Oral - Andrea Nesbitt, Population Medicine
2nd prize MSc Oral - Teresa Cheng, Clinical Studies
1st prize PhD Oral - Thomas Koch, Biomedical Sciences
1st prize DVSc Oral - Rasa Levstein, Population Medicine
