Research by U of G pathobiology Prof. Scott Weese is featured today in numerous newspapers and in radio and televison reports, including the Globe and Mail.
Weese and a team of researchers found antibiotic-resistant Staph bacteria in pork products purchased in retail stores across Canada. He presented his findings yesterday at the International Conference on Emerging Infectious Diseases in Atlanta.
