Prof to Be on Canada AM

Prof. Geoffrey Smith, assistant dean of the College of Management and Economics, will appear on CTV's Canada AM Wednesday at 7:15 a.m. discussing his research on the interviewing practices of human resources professionals in Canada.
The study, which is the first to assess the actual interview practices of Canadian professionals, found that it's an uneven playing field when it comes to job interviews in Canada because professionals are not consistent in the way they conduct interviews between candidates.
Smith worked on the study with lead author Sheldene Simola of Trent University and co-author Simon Taggar of Wilfrid Laurier University.
