Prof, Staff Discuss Meat Recall in National Media

Marnie Webb and Linda Corso with U of G's food Safety Network have been featured in the national media over the past week discussing the recent Maple Leaf Foods Inc. meat recall and giving advice to consumers.
Corso appeared on CBC's Newsworld and also answered questions online for Globe and Mail readers. The questions and answers were published in Thursday's newspaper.
She was also featured in a Globe and Mail story on Wednesday about deli meat and food safety tips.
Webb appeared on CBC's Newsworld Thursday to answer questions from viewers. She has also been quoted in a couple of stories in the National Post including a story in today's newspaper. Webb also appeared on CTV's Canada AM last week.
Food science professor Keith Warriner has also been highlighted in the national media discussing the meat recall. On Thursday he was interviewed on the CBC radio program Here and Now, appeared on CBC National News and was featured in the Toronto Star. He was also featured in Wednesday's Globe and Mail.
