Beat the Winter Blahs by Getting Active, Healthy

The University of Guelph's Wellness Advisory Committee has organized a number of healthy workplace initiatives for December and the New Year, including free ice skating, fitness and recreation activities, and nutrition seminars.
There will be free skating at the twin-pad arena Tuesday, Dec. 16 from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Hot apple cider will be provided compliments of Hospitality Services. For more information, contact Occupational Health at Ext. 52133.
Members of the University community may also try out the facilities at the Athletic Centre from Jan. 5 to 11. Visit the fitness centre, swim or take an exercise class free of charge. Call Ext. 52742 for details.
In addition, the Health and Performance Centre will be presenting a free fitness and nutrition seminar series. All sessions will be held from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at the centre. Topics are: Jan. 29, "Eating and Activity for Weight Loss"; Feb. 26., "Heart Health"; and March 26, "Eating for Exercise."
