CUPE 3913, University Ratify Agreement

Members of CUPE Local 3913, which represents about 1,200 teaching assistants, graduate service assistants and sessional lecturers, and the University of Guelph have ratified the agreement that was reached earlier this month.
“Both parties have worked hard since August to arrive at this agreement,” said Maureen Mancuso, provost and vice-president (academic). “Members of CUPE 3913 are integral to the teaching mission at the University, and we are very pleased that we were able to reach an agreement at the bargaining table. Thanks to the dedication and efforts of both bargaining teams, we have arrived at a contract that we believe will be beneficial to both parties.”
Details of the collective agreement will be presented to the community over the coming weeks.
