Prof. Sylvain Charlebois appeared on the popular CBC Radio program The Current Monday morning. He was part of a story on the dismantling of the Canadian Wheat Board and supply management in Canada.
Charlebois, associate dean, research and graduate studies, in the College of Management and Economics, is an award-winning researcher and teacher, and an expert on global food systems. He studies food distribution and safety and has published two books and numerous articles. He is currently writing a third book on global food safety systems.
This summer he was named to the Canadian Food Inspection Agency’s National Expert Advisory Committee. The group will provide the CFIA with objective professional and technical advice on key issues related to food, animal health and plants.
