Women’s Golf Team Wins OUA Bronze, Two Gryphons Earn Silver

The University of Guelph women’s golf team won a bronze medal and two golfers won silver individual medals at the Ontario University Athletics championships this week. The men’s team took fourth place.
The two-day tournament was held at the Cataraqui Golf and Country Club hosted by Queen's University.
The Gryphon women finished the tournament with a final score of 505. The team was led by Christine Fraser, a master of landscape architecture student who tied for second overall with a two-day score of 161 (77-84).
The men’s team missed out on a podium finish by one stroke with a score of 595. The team was led by first-year commerce student Chris Hemmerich, who finished four over par (72-72-144) and won the silver medal.
