U of G Celebrates Alumni Weekend June 14-15
June 11, 2013 - News Release
The University of Guelph expects to attract more than 1,000 grads and guests to campus June 14 and 15 for Alumni Weekend 2013. “Students for a short time, alumni for life” is the theme of the event, which will include two dozen class reunions.
“Each of us has our very unique, special memories of the time spent at our alma mater,” said Martha Billes, this year’s honorary chair and a 1963 graduate of the Macdonald Institute. “Alumni Weekend is the perfect opportunity to reconnect with friends and fellow alumni – a time to rekindle friendships and visit the campus that has meant so much to us all.”
Visitors may attend traditional events, including class reunions, campus tours and the President’s Luncheon. Also on offer are tours of new facilities in athletics and the Ontario Veterinary College (OVC), and talks on subjects from exploring Mars to ice cream technology.
