Poster Sessions
There will be an opportunity to display posters at the Summit. The idea is to showcase work done in universities and local communities (at home and abroad) to combat hunger and to provide an opportunity to network with people interested in the same ideas.
The posters will be displayed in the concourse of Rozanski Hall, the lecture theatre complex where the plenary sessions and the panel discussions will take place.
Coffee breaks and time between formal presentations will be designated as time to walk around, read the posters and talk to the people associated with the posters. Attendance at the posters during these sessions is not mandatory.
An abstract of the poster session will be published in the Summit brochure and will be made available on the electronic publication of the proceedings of the meeting.
One Summit registration free-of-charge will be made for each poster submitted. This will allow the named delegate to attend all the sessions including the meals. Although only one free registration will be provided per poster, up to three named individuals may share the use of this pass which will allow one person to attend the lunches, and dinners during the Summit.
There will be a more formal networking session over lunch-time on Saturday. A table will be allocated for each poster presenter so people who are interested in the topic might chose to come and discuss the work further.
Guidelines for production of the poster
The space for each poster will be 3’ x 4’. Please make sure that the poster has a clear title, the address/affiliation of the group and contact information [including email(s) of presenter(s)]. The purpose of the work, the activities involved and the outcomes should be clearly provided. Most importantly, make sure that an abstract of the work is clearly visible. The abstract should not be more than 250 words and will be the copy that is made available in the conference brochure.
