Transfer Opportunities

Associate Diplomas can open doors to further studies! Students who have completed at least one year of an associate diploma program will be considered college transfer applicants when applying for admission to all degree programs at the University of Guelph. Admission requirements vary by program. We also offer admission pathways for graduates of the following associate diploma programs: Associate Diploma in Environmental Technician, and the Associate Diploma in Agriculture.

Transfer credits are determined by the Admission Committee of the program to which the student is admitted and where applicable, in accordance with any existing articulation agreement or pathway. The application of transfer credits will vary depending on the degree and specialization. All applicants must satisfy degree graduation requirements and residency requirement as outlined in the Undergraduate Calendar. Diploma

Associate Diploma in Environmental Management

 

Possible Degree:

Bachelor of Bio-Resource Management in Environmental Management (B.B.R.M)

Graduates of the Associate Diploma in Environmental Management program who have achieved a minimum 70% cumulative average may apply to transfer into the Bachelor of Bio-Resource Management with a major in Environmental Management, and receive 5.0 transfer credits. Students lacking 4U Chemistry (SCH4U) will be required to complete CHEM*1060 (or an approved equivalent) during their first semester of degree studies. Graduates from the Associate Diploma in Environmental Management will be exempt from the normal 4U English (ENG4U) and 4U Biology (SBI4U) requirements.

Bachelor of Bio-Resource Management in Equine Management (B.B.R.M)

Graduates of the Associate Diploma in Equine Care and Management program who have achieved a minimum 75% cumulative average may apply to transfer into the Bachelor of Bio-Resource Management with a major in Equine Management, and will receive 7.5 transfer credits if admitted. Applicants must have completed 4U Biology (SBI4U) , 4U Chemistry (SCH4U), one 4U level Math course, or equivalents.

If you are a graduate of the Associate Diploma in Horticulture program then you may be eligible to enter the Bachelor of Science in Agriculture program provided that you have achieved a minimum cumulative average of 75% or higher in the associate diploma program. Successful applicants may receive up to 7.5 transfer credits.
