A team of University of Guelph researchers led by Dr. Keith Warriner, a professor in the Department of Food Science in the Ontario Agricultural College, helped to develop a global web-based food safety toolbox.
The toolbox was launched in June by the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO). The U of G researchers worked with the FAO on the new resource over the past six months. The team included Dr. Jeff Farber [1], former director of the Canadian Research Institute for Food Safety [2] based at U of G, and current CRIFS director Dr. Lawrence Goodridge [3] as well as external consultants.
