Linda Lissemore has been named interim director, Agriculture and Food Laboratory (AFL), and co-executive director of Laboratory Services Division (LSD).
Lissemore has more than 30 years of analytical chemistry experience, specializing in trace organic compounds, and has been the manager of the Chemistry Unit of AFL since 2009. Her experiences and knowledge will ensure the smooth continuation of day-to-day activities at AFL.
As part of the Laboratory Services Division, the AFL at the University of Guelph offers the latest and most accurate methodologies for testing soil, water, plants, agrochemicals, food and beverages, and milk.
The AFL is an important component of the partnership between the Ontario Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs (OMAFRA) and the University of Guelph.
