Research Summary: This project aims to construct a simulation model to estimate the potential impact of various possible outbreaks of contagious diseases on swine production in Ontario. This model will aid in providing mitigation strategies to assist producers in offsetting the potential negative impact to animal health and welfare, producers and the rural community at large.
