Research Summary: Biosecurity best practices remain inconsistent on Ontario's dairy farms despite the clear productivity and animal health benefits they provide. This leaves the industry at risk of pathogen transmission both between and within farms, impacting food safety, public health, animal health and welfare, and herd productivity. This project will explore farmers' perceived barriers to KTT delivery that are leading to poor on-farm biosecurity practices, and the best management practces that veterinarians can use to bypass those barriers and provide KTT on biosecurity to farmers.
