DEF faculty member Ross McKitrick has organized a workshop on Econometric Applications in Climatology. This interdisciplinary workshop is aimed at sharing expertise and building opportunities for collaboration. Many economists are becoming interested in applying econometric methods (especially time series analysis) to geophysical and climatic data sets. In addition, many climate scientists are recognizing the value of developing and applying increasingly rigorous empirical methods to the rich data sets available in the Earth sciences.
