Research Interests
Dr. Huiyan Li’s research focuses on developing innovative micro and nanoscale biosensors and lab-on-a-chip technologies for the study of diseases, including cancer. Dr. Li obtained her Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering from McGill University, and completed her Postdoctoral training at Harvard Medical School - Massachusetts General Hospital, USA.
Dr. Li’s multidisciplinary research integrates biosensing, micro/nanofabrication, bio-optics/electronics, computational tools with biomedicine to decipher the molecular complexity and heterogeneity of cancer progression, promoting improved diagnostics, prognosis, and treatment, eventually contributing to personalized medicine.
