Mechanical Engineering

Our mechanical engineering researchers are an interdisciplinary group working on a wide selection of topics including, but limited to: waste-to-energy solutions, new materials, energy storage, intelligent systems, sustainable systems, thermo-fluids, renewable energy and energy conversation.

This breadth of expertise positions us well to push the boundaries of what we know about the engineering of sustainable solutions through the application of innovative technologies. Aligning well with the rest of the School of Engineering and the University of Guelph’s research expertise, the Mechanical Engineering group strives to make a difference every day by driving these pursuits while also training and preparing the next generation of highly qualified engineers.
