Community Engagement Programs

Community engagement programs are mutually beneficial, intentionally designed to engage you in exploring, in depth, a societal issue or theme in a community, while supporting the mission of a community organization.

Currently Recognized Opportunities

  • Neighbourhood Nexus, an internship program aimed at making meaningful connections between students and neighbourhood groups in high priority areas of Guelph.
  • Project Serve Reading Week which offers social justice themed community-engaged learning experiences during the February Winter break.
  • Project Serve Spring/Summer which offers an opportunity to learn more about pressing domestic and international themes and community initiatives that have global implications.

Experience Profiles

  • Jack graduated from the University of Guelph with a major in History and a minor in Philosophy. He was a Peer Helper and in a curricular context, took multiple experiential courses which were project and research based.
