About the University
The University of Guelph is spread over three campuses and numerous research stations throughout Ontario. U of G has nearly 28,000 undergraduate and graduate students at our campuses in Guelph, Toronto and Ridgetown, including 1,200 international students from more than 100 countries. We attract faculty, staff and students from a range of cultural backgrounds and we strive to give our Canadian students a global perspective through interaction with international students and 65 different study abroad opportunities.
Our main campus in Guelph is known for its green space and blend of contemporary and traditional architecture. The University of Guelph-Humber in Etobicoke is nestled on the sprawling campus of Humber College. A partnership between the University and Humber College, the University of Guelph-Humber offers a unique blend of applied and theoretical learning where students graduate with both a University degree and a College diploma in their chosen field. Situated approximately a hour outside of London, Ontario, the University of Guelph, Ridgetown is a 450 acre research station and teaching facility. It has been offering diploma programs for over 65 years in areas such as agriculture, horticulture, environmental management and veterinary technology. About the City of Guelph
The city of Guelph is a vibrant community of about 125,000 people, located in southern Ontario’s technology triangle, approximately one hour west of Toronto. Known for being a progressive university town, it has a rich architectural heritage, an active cultural and music community, and numerous rivers with parks and conservation areas within a small radius. It was ranked first on MSN’s report on Canada’s next most livable cities, and named Canada’s safest city by Statistics Canada.
