Andreas Boecker, Associate Professor with the Department of Food, Agricultural and Resource Economics, was interviewed by TVO’s Steve Paikin on Monday night about the announcement by Heinz to close the iconic Leamington plant next June. The interview focused on the possible reasons for the decision by the new Heinz management to close the plant and the impact on Ontario tomato growers and possible ways to respond to this crisis. The interview will be aired tonight, Tuesday, November 26 at 8pm on TVO’s Agenda.
