The central role of food and agriculture for our world’s well being is undisputed. Food and agriculture are the second largest industry in Ontario and predicted to grow steadily. The Department of Food, Agricultural and Resource Economics offers two majors that address the need for leadership positions nationally and internationally.

The Bachelor of Commerce: Food and Agricultural Business major (BCOMM:FAB) [link to html version of flyer] [link to pdf for download] provides in-depth knowledge about key business aspects in the dynamic and innovative food and agri-business industries. Our graduates become business professionals and entrepreneurs, providing leadership for industry and communities.  The major also has a co-op option. In the Bachelor of Arts: Food, Agricultural and Resource Economics major (BA:FARE) [link to html version of flyer] [link to pdf for download], students will acquire the knowledge and skills needed to effectively deal with emerging issues in food, agriculture and resource management. These capacities hare highly valued in Canada, but also in the international (development) context.
