FARE Welcomes David Hope

We are pleased to announce that Dave Hope, assistant deputy minister of the Regulated Marketing Division, Ontario Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs, has been appointed as Senior Fellow of Agricultural Policy in OAC’s department of Food, Agricultural and Resource Economics. Effective October 1, Dave will assume a variety of duties that will further enhance the relationship between agricultural economics research and policy initiatives for agriculture and rural initiatives in Ontario. Building on the University of Guelph-OMAFRA partnership, this initiative will develop further ties between the university and the ministry. Many thanks to Dave and to OMAFRA deputy minister Bruce Archibald for their support of this developmental initiative which will provide benefits to both organizations and ultimately contribute to the strengthening of Ontario’s position as a leader in agri-food innovation.
