Staying connected with FARE graduates...
Posted on Monday, December 08, 2014
There is a wide diversity of career opportunities available to FARE graduates, and sometimes their paths unite. For instance, Stewart Skinner (MSc. ‘10) and Johanna Wilkes (MSc ‘13) serve as Policy Advisors, and Christina Crowley (Bachelor of Commerce in Food and Agricultural Business ‘09) serves as Communications Advisor for Honourable Jeff Leal, Minister of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs in Ontario. All three were appointed in late 2014.
Stewart had earlier returned to the family hog farm, was recently a candidate in the provincial election in Perth County, and he continues to farm while working in the Minister’s office. After Johanna graduated from FARE, she earned a Masters in International Public Policy at the Balsillie School of International Affairs, and undertook research related to childhood malnutrition in sub-Saharan Africa. Before joining Minister Leal’s office, Christina served in a variety of communications positions, including Coordinator of Strategic Communications and Programs for Holstein Canada.
