Congrats to our March “G” Thanks! Winner Stephanie Day!
Renee Comeau wrote in her Kudoboard Nomination:
“I'd like to nominate @Stephanie Day [1] . I've been at the UofG for a few months now and I just have to say that Stephanie has been the most helpful colleague since I arrived! Always offering her guidance and making sure everything runs smoothly. Always checking in on everyone's well-being too. Never has a colleague been so welcoming and helpful as Steph has been. You are so appreciated! Thank you, thank you.”
When learning she was the March recipient Stephanie said “Thank you so much for sharing this exciting news – was a lovely email to get, I really appreciate the recognition. All the beautiful things that were said about me I can easily send back to everyone on our team, feeling grateful to be a part of the Secretariat.”
Stephanie’s manager Genevieve Gauthier-Chalifour said, “A huge G-THANKS to Stephanie. Always a positive and calm energy, Steph is the quiet heart of the Secretariat ... always looking out for others and their well-being, making sure things keep moving along, and stepping up to coach or lend a hand. She's the person you want in your corner when things go sideways (or down, or diagonal), to remind you that all will be fine. After recently taking on a new role in our office, Steph has approached each new challenge with good humour and a "let's do this" attitude. Thank you isn't quite enough ... and our gratitude is immense! Thanks to the G Thanks team for this great initiative and opportunity to recognize some of the extra special people on campus and the extraordinary work they do to make this university a better place. Stephanie epitomizes this and I’m thrilled she is being recognized for her work and for being an overall incredible human being!”
Joanne Emeneau, said “Thanks feels like too simple a word to convey how much I appreciate having Stephanie as a colleague. In our fast-paced, ever adapting office Stephanie maintains an infectious calm, cool, and collected manner. She always keeps us on task and on schedule with gentle reminders and a smile. Stephanie is truly a person you want on your team. Her quiet leadership shines through all she does, and I can’t thank her enough for the support she provides us.”
Ben Doadt wrote, “Steph makes it all seem so easy as she adapts to new roles, new challenges, and keeps the ship upright. A great and helpful colleague, Steph is there behind the scenes helping the rest of the team be successful and keeping the whole operation on track. Great! Grand!”
Congrats Stephanie and thanks for all your great work!
