Career Workshop: The Making Box- Improv for Business

Improvising effectively can be the difference between time wasted and time well spent. Think outside the box and join in on this free professional development workshop led by The Making Box. Laughter is a shared experience that creates strong bonds. When we come together in the spirit of play, we leave more open, happy and connected. This resonates, leading to personal fulfillment, professional prosperity and community elevation. The Making-Box is a hub for live comedy and improv education.

Career Workshop: Becoming the Batman of Public Speaking- NEW DATE/TIME

What do a neurologist, an RCMP interrogator and a professional wrestler have in common? Each of them is a master in communication and how the brain works and each of them contributed to the ideas of this course. Be ready to challenge everything you think about what good communication is in this fast-moving and highly interactive course. There is only one way to learn, by doing! Everyone who participates in the course will have an opportunity to practice and apply each strategy during the course. By the end of this workshop you will be able to:

Want to learn where and how to start with networking? In preparation for the upcoming HFTM Job Expo, learn beginner do's and don'ts of networking with employers. Practice sessions will be built into this workshop to help you gain confidence in your networking skills. **Drinks and snacks will be provided

Employer Event: RBC Summer Hire Networking Event

RBC is inviting students to come to their head office in Toronto to meet with business professionals and recruiters from many different areas of the bank. The event will include a brief presentation to introduce all areas involved, and lead into an “expo”-style portion where areas that are looking to hire students will be available and ready to network.

Career Workshop: Resume Critique Drop-in Session #2

In preparation for the upcoming HFTM Job Expo, One-on-One 15 minute Drop-in sessions will be held for resume critiquing. Are you prepared? Bring a hard copy of your resume for some helpful, constructive feedback!!!
