Lang graduate student presents research at international leadership conference

Lang graduate student Afra Mehwish travelled to Santa Cruz, California last month to present a research paper at the International Leadership Association’s Women and Leadership conference.

Mehwish, a candidate in Lang’s MA Management program, attended the conference with advisor and co-author Elizabeth Kurucz to present their paper on the workplace experiences of menstruation and its impact on the advancement of women in the workplace.

After ten years of leadership, U of G community celebrates Lang’s founding dean

University of Guelph’s business dean Julia Christensen Hughes was surrounded by more than 100 friends, faculty, staff and alumni on Tuesday to celebrate her accomplishments and tenure, as she ends her second term as dean.

Christensen Hughes has served as U of G’s business dean since 2009, serving two terms and stewarding the school to several incredible milestones.

Two Lang business students are travelling to Ottawa this week to compete in the CSA Academic Challenge Championships at the 2019 CSA Group Annual Conference.

The CSA Group Academic Challenge is an annual competition where students share forward-looking ideas and competitive proposals about industry practices and issues that are influenced by standards.
