For the second consecutive year, current and emerging industry leaders will unite at the University of Guelph for the Food and Agriculture Business Seminar where they will examine current trends and challenges in the food industry. Hosted by the Food Institute, the seminar will take place June 5 to 7 and focus on six cases written by University of Guelph faculty and supported by the featured businesses.

This year’s cases will cover a broad range of food issues, both national and international, including 3D food printing, sustainable coffee products and food waste. College of Business and Economics professors, and food researchers, Mike von Massow and Sylvain Charlebois authored multiple cases that will be discussed at this year’s seminar.

This year’s seminar will include cases from:

  • Bergmilch Sudtirol (Italian dairy cooperative in post-supply management Europe)
  • Structur3D Printing (3D food printing)
  • Club Coffee (sustainable coffee products)
  • Ippolito (a processor’s food waste challenge)
  • Pangea Terres Agricoles (farmland asset management in Canada)
  • AGT (pulse supply chain challenges)

In addition to examining these cases, attendees will have the opportunity to network, engage in knowledge sharing and gain a better understanding of the challenges affecting some major food companies alongside fellow professionals in diverse roles.
