Commitment to PRME
PRME Champions
Launched at the 2007 UN Global Compact Leaders Summit in Geneva, the Principles for Responsible Management Education (PRME) initiative is the first organised relationship between the United Nations and business schools, with the PRME Secretariat housed in the UN Global Compact Office.
The mission of PRME is to transform management education, research and thought leadership globally by providing the Principles for Responsible Management Education framework, developing learning communities and promoting awareness about the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals.
In 2018, the United Nation's renewed the Gordon S. Lang School of Business and Economics status as PRME Champion. In doing so, we commit to:
- Work collaboratively to achieve higher levels of performance in transforming business and management education in five key areas: curricula, research, educational frameworks, sustainability-based partnerships, and thought leadership.
- Serve the broader PRME community through active engagement with existing PRME Chapters, PRME Working Groups, Global Compact LEAD, and other global opportunities, as well as to support the broader and deeper implementation of sustainability principles in the institutional context of the PRME initiative.
- Contribute to broader UN goals and issues, particularly helping to realize the Sustainable Development Goals.
