Dr. Jestin is Scotiabank’s former Chief Economist and Senior Vice-President. He earned an MA in Economics at the University of Guelph in 1971 and was awarded his doctorate from the University of Toronto in 1977. He is a member of the C.D. Dr. Jestin is a sought-after public speaker on national and international economic issues, and we are extremely fortunately to have him provide guest lectures to our undergraduate students. However, his involvement at the University goes beyond the occasional guest lecture. He has served on the Board of the University of Guelph Heritage Fund, on the Board of Governors for the University of Guelph, and as Chair of the Advisory Board for the College of Business and Economics.
