Curriculum Mapping

In Fall 2018, the Gordon S. Lang School of Business and Economics launched a large scale curriculum mapping project. This project seeks to collect information from faculty about the progression of learning and skill development that is happening in their courses in relation to the intended learning outcomes for each respective program.

If your course contributes to the core of one of our programs at the undergraduate, graduate, or executive level, you will receive an email. Regardless of how many courses you teach, there is only one survey you will need to complete. The survey takes approximately 20 minutes.

It may be helpful to have your course outlines and assignments handy as you complete the survey, although this is not required. If you have any questions about the survey, please contact Amy Faria, Educational Analyst (Quality Assurance) at amyfaria@uoguelph.ca

What's next?

Once the initial collection of information for the mapping project is complete, each program will have a comprehensive map documenting the current activities and experiences students participate in throughout their degree. These maps will help to support our ongoing commitment to continuous program improvement, which is a core part of not only the Institutional Quality Assurance Process (IQAP) but also our AACSB accreditation. Having these updated curriculum maps also help ensure our business programs have the information they need to make meaningful, evidence-based improvements to our curriculum.
