*Making DECA U History
In the Management Consulting category, Yassmin Ghotb made DECA U history by achieving a perfect score in both of her cases. Congratulations to Yassmin for this incredible accomplishment!
Lang students from DECA U Guelph traveled to Toronto last weekend to compete among more than 1,300 student delegates from across Ontario in one of Canada’s largest undergraduate case competitions.
Eighty-seven U of G student delegates attended DECA U Ontario, which is their flagship event featuring a case competition, networking, and workshops throughout the weekend.
At this year’s competition, Lang students brought home seven awards, including two first-place finishes:

“We are very proud of our delegates for putting in so much effort and passion,” said Alexis Chomiak, President of DECA U Guelph. “After a great showing by Lang at DECA U Ontario, we are excited for Internationals in April!”
With Provincials behind them, the DECA U Guelph team will be turning their focus to the international competition in April, which takes place in Atlanta Georgia from April 22nd to 25th.

The success at DECA U Ontario comes on the heels of an impressive start to 2020 for Lang commerce students. Earlier this month, Lang students from JDCC Lang hit the podium four times [1] at JDC Central, the largest undergraduate case competition in Central Canada.
