The 5th Annual Lang Tax Conference, organized by the Accounting Students’ Association, was held this past November 8th and 9th. This year, the conference expanded to a two-day format for the first time, offering more opportunities for learning, networking, and collaboration across multiple venues. Over 20 teams participated, all vying for a share of the $5,000 prize pool.

This year’s case centered on using tax policy to implement the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goal #8: Sustainable Economic Growth and Decent Work for All. The delegates rose to the challenge with creative and innovative proposals that demonstrated their understanding of the complexities involved in both tax policy and global sustainability goals.
