The topic that will be covered is scholarship applications. More specifically, we will chat about the following:

  • Writing a scholarship proposal (12-1 pm): how to write an effective and compelling scholarship proposal. We'll examine a straightforward method to structure your scholarship proposal and give you concrete examples of strategies and phrases you can use to articulate your ideas.
  • Scholarship applications (1-1:15pm): A Grad Awards Officer will give some tips and tricks on the application process of major awards (e.g., tri-agency, OGS) so you're prepared to navigate the admin side of things.
  • Evaluation committee perspective (1:15-1:45 pm): Our CBS ADR, Graham Holloway, will join us to give you more insights on what evaluation committees are looking for. After all, many students prepare excellent proposals, so how can you stand out?

The first two parts of the workshop will be in collaboration with CEPS, so you can expect a mixed CBS and CEPS audience!
