Final Oral Examination - Doctor of Philosophy - Sandi Yen

Sandi Yen, Ph.D. candidate in the department of Molecular and Cellular Biology, will defend her thesis on Wednesday, September 25, 2019 at 1:30 p.m. in SSC2315.  Her co-advisors are Dr. Emma Allen-Vercoe and Dr. Marc Aucoin. Thesis Title:  "Impact of parenteral antibiotic therapy on microbial and metabolic relationships of the preterm gut microbiome as in vitro community cultures". All interested members of the university community are welcome to attend.

All graduate students (MSC, PHD, MBIOT), starting their programs in 2019 are invited and encouraged to attend this orientation session.  In addition to meeting other students in your program, the MCB Graduate Student Council will introduce you to key personnel in the department and Science Complex.  Coffee, tea, hot chocolate and treats will be served. Thesis Title:  "Nucleosome assembly pathways, Rrm3p and phosphorylation of CAF-I contribute to the maintenance of silent chromatin at the FLO genes in Saccharomyces cerevisiae".
