Summerlee Science Complex
The CBS Graduate Student Symposium is a full day event that includes a plenary session, student-based talks, and poster presentations to showcase graduate student research taking place across the college. The sessions will provide the opportunity for students to present their research to a diverse audience of fellow CBS members from the departments of Human Health and Nutritional Sciences, Molecular and Cellular Biology, and Integrative Biology. Lunch will be provided in the atrium for all registrants.
This year our keynote speaker will be Dr. William Milsom [1] from the University of British Colombia. Dr. Milsom’s lab is directed at determining the physiological basis of biodiversity in vertebrates and studies the respiratory, cardiovascular, thermoregulatory and metabolic adaptations for life in environments with low/high levels of oxygen, carbon dioxide, temperature, food, and water.
Registration for the GSS 2017 is now open and will close on Friday, April 14th. This deadline WILL NOT BE EXTENDED. Abstracts will be accepted for oral (12 min) and poster presentations – further details on abstract submission are below. If you wish to attend the symposium, but NOT present an abstract, you MUST STILL REGISTER by April 14th.
