Microbial Adaptation

By completing MICR*3260: Microbial Adaptation you will learn how microbes respond to their diverse and changing environments. You will use relevant information technologies to access and analyze the microbiological research literature, learning why and how researchers study this subject and how information is evaluated.

The Research Lab will develop your ability to search, read, understand, analyze and interpret the primary research literature (research articles, review articles, conference reports and technical sources). You will select a topic for independent study, analyze an original research article related to that topic and discuss the outcome and impact of the analyzed research. Lab work will be completed during weekly meetings in a Science Complex computer room with help from the Instructor and a Teaching Assistant.
