March 19th 2013 - A team of two students from U of G have been selected among the finalists (top 10) from about 200 teams/individuals who participated in the annual competition Canada's Next Top Ad Exec [1]. This competition is fast turning into a major competition in business schools in Canada - students from different schools across Canada compete for some really great prizes (this year the top prize is a Chevy Cruze for each of the members of the winning team and there are over $30,000 in prizes plus valuable internships for the top groups). Masters and undergraduate students can all compete in this competition and it offers the highest industry-driven prizes given to students in Canada.

     One of the students in our U of G team, Mary Crawford Kennedy, is a BComm Marketing Management Major from the Department of Marketing and Consumer Studies.  The other student, Alyssa de Hoop, is a studio art major and is pursuing a marketing minor. They will be making their final round presentations to a team of executives and professors in Toronto on March 26th.  We wish them all the best!
