On June 5th, Brent McKenzie of the Department of Marketing and Consumer Studies, presented his study "What's in a Name: Country Branding in Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania" at the Lithuanian Government building in the capital city Vilnius. Lithuania, the largest of the Baltic States, is exploring how to best develop their country brand to coincide with the commencement of its term as President of the Council of the European Union (EU) beginning in July. Invitees included representatives from the Lithuanian Tourism Department, the Ministry of Energy, Invest Lithuania, Enterprise Lithuania, the Ministry of Environment, the Ministry of Defense, the Ministry of Social Security and Labour, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
