Type data: lectotype male (USNM), by designation of O'Hara, 2002: 73 (Coquillett, 1897: 53, did not cite a type number in his original description contrary to his usual practise, so his type series originally comprised syntypes; Townsend, 1939a: 323, mentioned a "Ht male" but the male in question could not be distinguished from among the 2 male syntypes in USNM). Type locality: USA, Louisiana, Opelousas.
