Genus Prospherysa van der Wulp, 1890

PROSPHERYSA van der Wulp, 1890: 43 (in key; full description in a subsequent fascicle, see van der Wulp, 1890: 116). Type species: Prospherysa aemulans van der Wulp, 1890, by subsequent designation of Coquillett, 1910b: 595 [Neotropical].
EPIDEXIA Townsend, 1912b: 112. Type species: Epidexia filamentosa Townsend, 1912 (= Masicera pulverea Coquillett, 1897), by original designation.

– Epidexia filamentosa Townsend, 1912b: 112. Type data: holotype female (USNM). Type locality: USA, Florida, Ocean Beach across Biscayne Bay from Miami (on flowers and leaves of dwarf Ernodea littoralis).
