Negotiations Updates

OPSEU

The Collective Agreement for OPSEU, the union representing special constables employed by the University of Guelph, expired on April 30, 2024. The University and the Union are actively engaged in bargaining, and a further update will be provide once an agreement is reached.

Concluded Negotiations

November 27, 2024 - OSSTF/TARA

The collective agreement for OSSTF/TARA was ratified by both parties on November 27, 2024.

October 29, 2024 - UGFA

The collective agreement for the University of Guelph Faculty Association (UFA) was ratified by both parties on Oct. 29, 2024. See full negotiations updates with UGFA.

October 16, 2024 - Unifor Local 2003E

The collective agreement for Unifor Local 2003E, the Union representing the University's 10 Operating Engineers and those engaged as their helpers in the Central Utilities Plant, was ratified on October 16, 2024. 

July 8, 2024 – UGFSEA Units 1 and 2 

Members of the University of Guelph Food Service Employees Association (UGFSEA) Units 1 and 2 have ratified the renewal collective agreements that were tentatively agreed to on June 18, 2024, and June 20, 2024, respectively.
