OAC Dean's Lunch

Jennifer Christie is an influential marketing professional, community builder, restaurateur and feminist. After starting her career in corporate marketing at John Deere Canada, Jen founded the Ag Women’s Network to connect and empower women in the agriculture industry. While working in Ottawa for a national non-profit, Jen met her partner Chris and soon after, they moved back to Bruce County to start their entrepreneurship journey.

In April 2020, they opened Bonfire on Queen to serve Italian-style food made with local ingredients, and expanded to packing some of their products for sale in a market space next door, called the Bonfire Pantry. Additionally, Jen is working as the Executive Director of Catapult Grey Bruce, a Startup Canada Community and new business accelerator for the rural region. She is also the President of her local Chamber of Commerce, a member of 100 Women Who Care Grey Bruce and vocal proponent for gender equity in agriculture leadership.

Jen is an avid traveler, enjoys being outdoors with their dog Molly and spending time with her family on their grain and dairy farm.
