For 150 years, the University of Guelph’s Ontario Agricultural College has been a powerhouse of innovation and education in food, agriculture, communities and the environment. On May 1st, OAC will officially turn 150 years old. This date signifies an important milestone for OAC, one that will allow the community to come together, reminisce, reconnect and reflect on the impact that the OAC has had on the Canadian and global agri-food system.
OAC is planning a number of events throughout the year, including history tours through campus, Food Day Canada celebrations and a capstone event celebration on Johnston Green during Alumni Weekend.
OAC is encouraging its alumni, students, faculty and staff to wear their iconic “Aggie” jackets or other OAC merchandise on May 1st. Post a photo of yourself wearing your OAC clothing using the hashtag #OAC150 for your chance to win a prize or post your favourite campus memory. Alumni can also email them to oac150@uoguelph.ca [1]
